Cladding Regulation Deadline - 29 March 2019

There are less than 6 weeks to go for Strata property owners to comply with the first stage of the Queensland Government's new combustible cladding regulations with the deadline being 29 March 2019.
Safety concerns about cladding in apartment buildings have reignited following a fast-moving fire this month at a Melbourne CBD apartment block, which is believed to have been fuelled by combustible cladding. The ABC News report on this latest cladding related fire can be viewed here.

In my earlier article - Part One - I covered some of the basic processes of an annual general meeting (AGM), including some of the key timeframes involved.
With those details in mind, this article - Part Two - provides some AGM tips. You might like to think of it as some AGM 'best practice'.

Townsville Flood Clean Up
Following the recent floods that devastated much of the Townsville region, the clean-up is now in full swing with the area jam-packed with volunteers and service providers helping those affected the most. Archers the Strata Professionals Townville Branch was also flooded with Branch Manager Frank Griesau continuing to work remotely alongside Marsh Advantage Insurance Account Executive Carly Dudley guiding all of the affected local clients through the recovery process.
